Jianjun Zhao received a B.E. degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University (China) in 1987,

and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Kyushu University (Japan) in 1997. After receiving his

Ph.D., he joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Fukuoka Institute of Technology

(Japan) as an Assistant Professor, and then was promoted to be an Associate Professor in 2000. He

was also a visiting scientist working with Professor Martin Rinard in the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science

from April 2002 to March 2003. Since December 2005, he has been with the School of Software,

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) as a Full Professor, where he leads the STAP Group.
